In the Philippines, Kidcare supports a children’s home in an area known as Gatas near Ipil in the Island of Mindanao. All children who come into our programme are extremely poor. Many of them are orphans and a few are destitute with nowhere to go. As we think about the material progress of children in this home, we must remember that the children receive emotional stability and a sense of well being and happiness here.
Kidcare has also supported children’s homes in India, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Ukraine. Our support continued over several years in these nations and each came to an end at different times as the the homes became more financially independent. We continue a good working partnership and relationships with our partners in these nations.
